Preamble

Breakfast

Lunch

There was more dumpling filler than wrapper yesterday and nobody likes waste. The intended use was some kind of omelette with leftover pho beansprouts and leftover dumpling filling.

The pan had other ideas. Instead the result was a sort of grey looking scrambled egg. But SHUT THE FRONT DOOR was it tasty. I'm going to add a recipe because this is my website and I can do what I want.

Dinner

I have had a weird obsession with gołąbki for years. I've never even eaten them before I decided to make them today. They're an Eastern European dish of cabbage usually stuffed with meat, a mix of pork and beef I think. Then cooked in a simple tomato sauce.

I have no idea where I even learned of their existence, let alone saw one! But here we are, on a week night, boiling an entire head of cabbage.

They are nourishing and delicious and simple. Although I've never made them, nor am I Polish, they make me feel homely and comfortable.

Gołąbki or golabki for the sake of my typing, is pronounced go-um-key, apparently.
