I flew to Alicante to meet a friend. I've never really fancied Alicante, tbh, but I was more than happy to see Pete. It's not often we get to hang out and even rarer one on one. But we've been pals for years so it was just like sinking back into the old ways, except with more aches and pains.
Airports make me nervous, so breakfast part one was a slice of toast and a banana. Something more substantial would be needed but that can wait post-security.
Breakfast part two was a sausage and egg sandwich at a bar in Gatwick airport. It was ok.
Lunch and dinner sort of blended into one. We did what any self respecting tourist would do and immediately had a couple of beers. Followed by some of the most unhinged tapas I've ever experienced.
Because we ate lunch so late, dinner was more of a post-drinking snack. In the form of Burger King.
